#58 New Iberia, 2-26-09

Grace and Leo are so much fun to be around. While we were at their home having a homemade "Cajun" dinner and meeting new friends, John and Shirley from Georgtown, TX, they entertained us with their "pillow people" dance. I hope the video works for you. It is the "pillow people" dancing and the funniest thing to see.

Sorry it's sideways!!

Leo grows his own grapes in the back yard and bottles his own wine. He also makes his own wiskey and has a still in the shed. We got a firsthand look at the small still and a lesson in making wiskey. Frank drank some of the wiskey and said it was really "smooth." What a talented pair they are.

It is always a busy time at their home. Two days after we left they were surprising thier friends with a 50th anniversary party. We all helped decorate a money tree. The tree was a branch Leo cut off the fig tree then he and Frank painted it gold. Grace and Dixie got $50. one dollar bills and we all folded them and tied them to the tree. The vase is filled with Mardi Gras gold beads. We were all pretty proud of our gift!
