#13-29 Lego Land with the McDonnell family 12-28-2013

If you double click on a picture it will enlarge the view.

Granddaughter Katherine entered a contest to win a chance to be a concierge for half a day at Lego  land, and her essay won!  So over the Christmas holiday the entire family came to Carlsbad and stayed at the Lego land hotel one night and she was guide for half a day to the visitors at Lego land.   We joined them in the afternoon, and Katherine was our guide.  Too bad it was a really overcast day and (for us desert rats) cold.  At least we didn’t get rained on!

The snow slide for Christmas in California.

All this built out of Legos, amazing to this Grandpa and Grandma.

The cities of the USA, all built out of Legos.  Such detail and so perfectly depicted.

This giant lego jet plane was the most amazing thing I’ve seen.  I hope you take the time to enlarge the information plaque and read what it took to make this. It has it’s own building and it is huge.

Going into the lobby of the hotel.

Warming up in the coffee shop before we left.  Katherine talking to her Grandpa with Mom checking out the drinks.  Second picture has Auntie Di with her back to us, Bray eating something and Dad, Peter looking down.  A very nice day with the family.
