Meet Linda, she is our driver and our tour guide this beautiful sunny day. We didn’t have a full van load today. Only about 17 of us. Much more relaxed than last night.
As we drive around to the hotels to pick up the rest of our tour group we go by the Indian Casino and hotel. It has the most beautiful glass design on the outside. The vertical lines going up the center are filled with lights that change colors and descend down from the horizontal bars at the top. They are beautiful at night and can be seen from the Canadian side.
Linda changed our tour and instead of going into the Cave of the Winds first we went on the Maid of the mist. (She checked the lines at the Cave and they were too long!)
By going on the boat first we were able to choose where we could see and take pictures. Were looking down at the boat before we board.
Linda took this picture of us and our new friends we met this morning. Don and Sue. They are from New Hampshire. We spent the entire day with then and met them for dinner at the Casino Buffet in the evening. Very fun couple and nice to be with. How do you like our rain (mist) gear. We did get sprayed while on the boat.
Here we go! Right into the mist from Horseshoe falls.
There goes another boat taking our place as we leave the falls. Check out all the birds on the water. They seem to like all the waves and the boats don’t bother them a bit.

The skyline of Canada is on the right. Horseshoe falls is in the center and there is a boat load of people heading into the mist. American Falls and Bridal Veil falls are to the left.
Linda gave everyone a “lifesaver” to use in case we fell off the boat. (I ate mine!)
This was an experience we’ll never forget. The sheer size and power of being so close to the falls and being on the water feeling the power coming over the rocks is indescribable. It was a definite “bucket list” item!
