A self portrait of Rachael and Dixie while on the beach in Carlsbad. It was a beautiful day. A few days before, Todd had taken a surf board riding lesson and had been able to ride the waves. The second time was not so good because a sting ray found his toe with his stinger. But everything turned out fine, the instructor told Todd he fixes stings all the time and he would be just fine.
Papa Frank, Aubrey and Grandma Dixie. I think Aubrey wants to wait until the big wave is gone. She likes the little waves, Papa!
Aubrey is two years old and is Ray's daughter. He also has a new son, Alex who was only 7 months old in the next picture. He isn't too sure of the water! He'd rather have his binky!
We all had a good time at the beach, the weather was perfect and it was so relaxing. But, the wedding of Diane and Mark Wheeler was this evening, so we had to say good-by to the beach and head to the new Sheraton Hotel for the big event.
