We drove back to Coburg and had a new television installed. While we were in Albany we found a guy who was the AV tech first with Monaco than with Beaver. We purchased the TV and new surround sound ourselves and Mark Stone installed it. Here he is working on the system. Look at all those wires hanging down from the component cabinet! We ended up eliminating one component, making more room in the cabinet.
Once the TV was in and working, we headed west to Lincoln City and stayed at the Elks RV park. This park is about 2 miles inland from the coast, and located on 40 acres with a creek running through it. The spaces are all gravel and I think they must mow 20 of the 40 acres. Lots of grass and as you can see above some beautiful old trees. Our friend Linda came out to see us and we took a walk through the park.
We spent a week visiting Linda at the condo. The above is sunset from the deck. Awesome.
I spent one day with Linda while Frank stayed at the RV and worked on his projects. We visited Rosie at “Two Crazy Ladies” where she has this incredible whale on the front of the building.
We all took one day and visited the artist school in the hills. This was their anniversary and open house, so we were able to go every where on the campus. It is set high above on the side of the hills right in the forest.
Frank is in the sculpture garden and we walked up to one of the homes and the view below was taken off the deck.
We drove up to Pacific City and had lunch looking over Haystack Rock and watched the beach goers flying their kites and climbing up the dune.It is cold enough on the beach to wear jackets. Not a swimmers beach at all!
Linda and I enjoyed sitting on the driftwood soaking up a little sunshine. The wind was blowing most of the time.
